Skills coaching is an intensive guidance service, which aims to help individuals find the most efficient and effective route to improved employability. Skills coaching is intended for adults of working age, who are receiving benefits, and for whom lack of skills is the main barrier to sustained employment.
In west London the Skills Coaching service is delivered by 15 Nextstep organisations. Each organisation is linked to a Jobcentre Plus office in west London. They receive referrals from their linked Jobcentre plus office and also identify eligible clients through outreach work.
