You may find it helpful to review your career plans before choosing a course. The items on the menu on the left can help you to get ideas about the best job for you. 'Choose a Career' will take you through a list of questions and then suggest possible occupations. 'Job Facts' will enable you to get information about a range of occupations. 'Work Trends' will enable you to consider labour market information in order to review the job prospects in particular fields of work. 'Job Vacancies' enables you to look through opportunities held by Jobcentre Plus. 'Write a CV' provides help in producing a Curriculum Vitae in support of your job applications.
Once you have decided on a career path improving your qualifications and skills can have a big impact on your job prospects. If you have not been involved with learning for some time you may feel anxious about it, particularly if your previous experience has not been positive. Please don't give up on learning because to didn't enjoy school. Adult learning is different. You are in control. You decide what you want to learn, when, how and why. You can choose whether you want the pressure of exams or not. You can learn at you own pace.
